In Airdrie, the Director of Officials is known as the Referee Assignor or Referee in Chief. 

They are responsible for assigning Officials to league games, exhibition games, and our home Ring of Fire Tournament. 

As of 2022, the Calgary Referee Assignors are responsible for assigning Officials to all league games for ARA at U12 and above. ARA’s Director of Officials will assign all league games for U10 Step 3 and First Stripes games.
